I have 4 pedal boards and each has a gate. Each 2 boards are on another board and those two boards are patched together as one Jumbo board. I use a pedal switch where instead of turning 4 pedals on and off I turn 4 boards on and off.
My point is I know gates. First this is a 'smart gate' It reads your guitar signal going into and out of the the bypass and as long as it senses that the clean signal is still ringing away then the gate will not turn on. There are two more jacks ...one in and one out and between them that you insert any noisy pedals. You turn on the noisy pedals you are going to use for a tune and then turn up the knob until the noise is gone.
CONCLUSION
There are other gates that allow you to tweak the crap out of them. All very impressive but under 99% of the guys who need and use a gate they are
a total pain and not necessary. A single knob is the way to go. Having 4 jacks sticking out of mini pedal is cumbersome. The idea of having flanges with hole
to screw down the pedal to your boards is really welcomed. All jacks are generously spaced apart so many styles of jacks can fit side by side.
