This pedal is virtually about a day old on the market. Yes that lovely lilac paint job isn't even dry yet. LOL

pedal.
Pete is of the Anderton's store fame. His playing is all about impeccable technique.
He has a really laid back style and near clean tone.
Put thru a clean amp it simply punches up that clean tone so nicely it could be used by anybody as an 'always on' pedal.
I believe this what Pete does, backing off
his guitar to go dead clean.
With the boost on it heads to a backed off Marshall Gov'nor v.1 tone.
You could simply get it as boost pedal perhaps the ultimate boost pedal.
Thorpy pedals are all about state of the art military spec grade parts and build. There's never a wart on the sound in fact ...not even a freckle.
Thorpy pedals are expensive. You pay for all that tech. For a high gain pedal you really do not need all that but in something as pristine as this sound any noise or artifacts would be
majorly defeating. In short ...it is worth the money.
For me it lacks character. I would never buy one for an OD ...BUT as tool to create the
Rolls Royce of a clean sound I could be tempted. LOL
