FUZZ at half price?
I have worked with several designer/builders trying out proto-types over the last 10 years. I recently was sent a Fuzz from Sweden that really impressed me. The maker suggested that rather than start a budget brand he thought selling it as my brand LENARD Re-Inventions could benefit us both. The estimated price would be $100.00 USD. About half that of a brand name. For that you get a handmade Fuzz without shortcuts or dumb downs like not mounting the adapter and input jack right to the pedal ...not like even some well known names to the circuit board. Some seriously good parts are used that are the roots of the sonic strength of the overall sound.
Money will be saved on cosmetics that do not do anything except bump the price. The
pedal would come in a simple raw Hammond 1590 B type enclosure. The kind used for MXR pedals since the MXR Phase 90 was made. There won't be graphics just a simple
pro label with LENARD, Re-Inventions and FUZZ. There will not be any hotshot YouTubers
giving you a demo. You would be buying on trusting that after doing 4300 reviews that
if I put a pedal on my board it has to sound damn good.
To get to the point I need to know if you guys are interested.
So I would be very grateful if you give me your opinion below

ReplyDeleteI will give you a heads up when I know more is a given. The one I have is a prototype and not the first. It has a part in it that is one of only 2 parts that are used for high end Fuzz pedals. Both are available but we are waiting on our preferred one for our sources to give us a best price and more important a guaranteed uninterrupted supply. We still have not decided who will be the online retailer. We need assurances of safe on-line money transactions and delivery guarantees'. Even the company that will build them is not fixed. These days with tariffs added to local taxes that are different in every country it gets damn complicated. We have found 3 countries with great builders that run an honest business.

That said we have at least the same bills you guys pay. Hell my car permanently died and I now take the bus, and even my bus money is budgeted. Anything less than 5 miles away I walk there and back, LOL.
On a final note I need to play this Fuzz and put it thru everything I play using 10 different guitars. Buyers need to know what it can do well. They also need to know what it can not do even more.
