The best way to understand this would be to put it in an original Fender Tweed amp. They do their thing set really hot and distorted creating a 

fat distorted mid sound. So you would put this on set the pedal to a 

lower volume with a bit of a scoop and you would get a nice kind 

of Fender Deluxe clean sound. It is literally a reverse OD taking 

dirt away instead of adding it. The Layout is Volume, Treble & Bass. 

The mid is more about cutting then boosting. 

            CONCLUSION __ 

You could also use it stacked on a Fuzz or a hot Overdrive. 

It could be used as a way of pulling back on too much dirt 

while some vocals were happening etc. It is a good problem solver. In effect it is kind of an extra amp channel.
