Did the designer listen to every 80's high gain amp on popular records and distilled them to just one perfect sound? It is fat by having just the right amount of tight lows with rich lower mids.

Then just  enough upper mids around 1K so the pedal cuts and sings. 

The layout is Volume, and Gain and Presence so the sound 

is not too dark depending on your rig.   

         CONCLUSION __

It really does the job. It has more of an 

American 6L6 tubes vibe than a Brit 

EL34 tube thing. It would be nice to 

have that too as a fixed voice. But 

WTF that is a minor complaint.
