Zak loved the sounds of the old solid state amps like the Epiphone Studio 10 the Music Man 112 RD and the Silvertone 1464. All have a nasty trashy vibe. 

He took the best of them all and then added some modern OpAmp tech to allow for a different palate of over loaded sounds to work with. The layout is Volume, Gain and a Tone/ BIAS control. You also get 3 toggles a Scoop, Bass boost and Treble boost. 

CONCLUSION ___ 

We all love a story with our pedals. Often the story 

does not fit the sound. But the story be damned 

if the pedal punches above it's weight, lol. In short 

if it sounds cool it is ...and in this case we get some

nasty sounds with a lot of character.
