JAM PEDALS
OCTAURUS
Jam pedals are famous for taking NOS parts to clone old pedals where they tend to fix what is broke on the originals but otherwise leave them alone. It has been a very effective formula. In just the last couple of years they have reintroduced pedals they put on the self probably for lack of original parts but have redesigned them with new easily available parts. No, it has not made them cheaper, LOL. It does though make them more available. This is a take on the 70's Foxx Tone Machine Octave Fuzz. Jam have added a symmetrical distortion circuit. A Fuzz by nature has asymmetrical voice. In fact in the extreme end of such circuits. That can make it too, harsh, ice picky in the highs and a nasty buzzy, fizzy sound. Adding symmetrical dirt is like putting double cream and sugar in your coffee, LOL. The layout is Volume, Tone and Gain. A toggle lets you turn on the asymmetrical dirt. A second toggle brings in Octave or regular type Fuzz voices and another toggle lets you scoop the mids.
Another Fuzz pedal with reigns. Yes you can
get nuts but it is easy to get an OD likeusable sound. In a cover band this will
get you thru any gig with honors.
There is Fuzz sound to cover any tune in it.
thefineprintFor those like I, living in dire poverty, LOL 😯The good ol' never lets me down $25.00 USDBehringer Super Fuzz does a damn good job.To get the kind of sound the Jam gets juststack it on a transparent OD.
