OVERDRIVE- ELECTRO-HARMONIX Nano Metal Muff... does it have a bad attitude?

M E T A L MUFF ||
Is it a hardclipper Distortion pedal or is it a Muff Fuzz? Does it matter?
I expect it uses a lot of Muff topography to get it's high gain. It does not use the Muff EQ which is stolen by thousands for all kinds of dirt pedals
as it makes anything sound good without days of trial and error. The 3 way EQ of Treble, Mids and Bass is very effective. It is however very sensitive. Tiny amounts of movement can take it from a scary good sound to crap with just a hairs breath nudge of a tone control. The full size model
has a boost section they call a Top Boost. The top boost is Shoegaze.
Total crap and it takes the already beyond usable noise floor into
a collision crash from a star Wars movie. They wisely dumped it.
Better yet they put a gate in it instead.
    CONCLUSION ___
I love it!!! it makes for Metal tones that sounds like it will explode. It sounds totally unruly. The low end is a mess but huge and once
you gate it ...the magic happens. Stack it with a good MIAB or
facsimile, or add a boost pedal. It is like letting a starving
lion out of a cage at football game... LOOK OUT!!!😧
