He is such a good guitar player and one of the future greats. When I first saw his playing I immediately thought wow this guy has chops but also unbelievably tasteful phrasing and technique. A combination that seems to be lacking with some modern flashy guitar players.
I agree. He is unfortunately like Allan Holdsworth where his music is very introverted and could easily get more so. The guys that get really big can be monster players but unless they team up with a good songwriter they can be barely be seen by only a few. He does not write songs.When I say songs I am talking about a verse, chorus, middle 8 with some words. 50% of the population are women. If they walk away with tune stuck in their head they heard that night you have band that will have staying power and a solid future.
