OVERDRIVE- MUIR AUDIO DESIGN Silicon Steel ___ NEW ___ maybe a first???

$245.00 USD
 MUIR AUDIO DESIGN
SILICON STEEL
In a tube amp a transformer supplies the power. If pushed beyond its capability the signal keeps losing the ability to reproduce a signal at full strength when you dig or slam the strings. This is called saturation in which and the transformer starts acting like a compressor. This gives you fat sustain. In cases where it is severe when you hit the strings hard you get sag.
Muir have managed to not use a transformer to mimic this at the source of power for the preamp but in the actual gain stage and that exaggerates the effect and also allows you control it by the drive.
The layout is Volume, Drive, Bass and Treble.
CONCLUSION ___
Impressive!
