This company makes a lot of great pedals but many if not most are to take some serious tube amp from in your face on it's own to never-everland, lol. A few of
late are combo amp friendly.
This is a take on guitarist Gary Holt of Exodus fame, Jose modded JCM 800 sound. Which I think is nailed.
The layout is good ol' straight forward volume, gain, treble and boost.

CONCLUSION
Love it. Lots of classic JCM 800 coming through
with just enough raw and ripping aggressive
bite. In your face without heading into Fuzz territory.
The price is more than fair. $200 would not be out
of line, with most new OD pedals with a brand
want $250 or more.

Hi, Paul. Some advice, please... Is there any cheaper Marshall with the JCM 800 flavor? Some AliExpress pedal that caught your attention? I didn't find one yet.

ReplyDeleteWell how about a pedal that sounds like a JCM 800 that has had a Jose mod. The Moval MP-302 Plexi Troll. The Plexi tag was from someone in Marketing that felt if it is a Marshall pedal it is a Plexi,lol. You can buy one on AliExpress for $24.00 USD, and about $2 for shipping. I ordered one. I was lucky I got mine shipping free for $22 on a one day anniversary sale:-) from ... The Skyline Store on Ali. It is due Apr. 14 ish. if you wait I can give you a "Hands On" opinion.
