OVERDRIVE- ANANASHEAD FX Cream Amp ___NEW ___ very small, big difference ...very big

ANANASHEAD FX|CREAM AMP

$115.00 USD

For literally decades the circuit from the 70's Electra Overdrive a dead
simple single knob OD has shown up in hundreds of other OD's.  It was built to add that just a touch of dirt you got from a clean amp on full to leave your basic guitar/guitar sound alone but give it some, cut sparkle and extra harmonics at any volume you left on set on your amp. Since
it was released the circuit was borrowed to add some serious life to other makers pedals that were otherwise drab sounding, dare I say mediocre ODs.

YouTubers ...PJ and the Beard have done 15 video's on those that borrowed the circuit which include MXR, Electro Harmonics and DOD
just to note a few. Two of Love Pedals biggest sellers are both Electra's. Not the Zen Drive as you would expect.

 $400.00 used.
Ananashead has done what should be obvious is to make one with nothing extra than a Drive control. It lets you add the 'secret sauce' by using it as even an always on OD for your clean sound or stack it on your favorite OD to add that missing dimension you get with a 'price is no limit' tube amp.

Josh Smith had Love Pedals build him several of their defunct first editions, Electra pedals. It is his always 'on' pedal. The ones that have not added all the extras to make them like the average OD.  He freely admits he can not play without one and with a never ending schedule as a session player his travel rig is his Ibanez signature guitar and this pedal. He is afraid to lose it or leave it at a studio half way across the circuitry. He said not having it is like not having any condiments on the perfect hamburger, lol.

CONCLUSION
Finally we get the Electra pedal back better than ever thanx to Ananashead.
The  video is meant to show you the sauce the pedal provides. It is meant as addition to your sound a tool, a problem solver. Not the whole sound. Put it stacked on an OD that sounds great but is too dark but if you push the highs on the OD you lose the richness of your pedal and make it sound thin. Or use it with a dirt pedal of any kind that sounds massive but disappears when your band kicks in. The damn thing is the kind of thing that turns a Fender Amp into a Dumble.
___I think maybe it's a 'must have' and at a price that says 'can have'.

the fine print
The last time Anasashead did a neglected old pedal it was
second only to guys reading my King of Tone review and
it stayed in the top 5 for a year and half!!! I soon learned
every guy who bought the pedal showed their friends
who had to have one too.
Add to that this is a hand made pedal
Everyone made by Pedro Garcia in Spain
with a quality build and uses NOS wherever necessary.
In short these pedals are keepers. They never get
bumped  off a guys board by the industries
next 'big deal' fashion' pedal.
