We all need to work on our board and still leave the power on. Sometimes we need to pull out a pedal temporarily. Maybe even leave a spot where the pedal was empty for awhile. The big hassle is the removing a power adapter or a cable going to a DC power supply. Screw that B.S!!!

I recommend a red straw as the end
of the tip will stand out if the cable
 gets tangled or hidden from view etc
......MAKE A FEW SPARES.

THE BIG FIX

Get a nice 'free' straw at your local fast food store. You need the ones with the larger diameter on the ends to fit. The 'Slurpee' Milkshake kind. Simple ...cut off a piece a bit longer than the tip of the jack. Pinch it with some pliers with just the tip protruding. Take a 'lighter' and 

run the flame back and forth over that protrusion to melt it. They slide on easy and the pinched end keeps it on tight and can take a fair bit of being pushed around and stay put.
