I hated the original Horizon The Precision Drive.
It was over hyped, reedy and thin.
It could only be seriously used going thru an expensive gourmet amp set to a healthy crunch.
It had zero versatility. It was really just a specialized EQ booster not an OD.
But fans of Djent bought them in the thousands.
I can just see all those ripped off faces in my minds eye putting then in front of their 30 watt combos and getting a pathetic whine out of the amp from a pedal they thought was going to take them to metal Heaven.
The new preamp has addressed all that.
It has made the whole Precision Drive Gourmet amp thing redundant by covering it all
and putting it into one box.
I expect any small half decent tube amp like a 30 watt Fender with this box driving it could do the trick.
This is my second pontification about this pedal.
I did it because there was not a really solid complete review or a video to show what it can do.
But only a few hours ago good ol' Pete Thorn stepped up to the plate and hit one out of the park.
FEAST !!!
