This German maker were one of the first to do an Amp-in-a-Box. Their pedals have always been heavy duty perhaps even overbuilt but the prices unlike most German builders have always been in the affordable middle ground. 

The pedals are never aimed at accurately cloning amps but are always a good impression and never have annoying issues. It is never a Marshall but a Brit sound on steroids, lol.

The big difference is that on the original you only had overall controls for both voices of the pedal now they are independent.The'blue' side is a classic heavy Brit sound and the 'red' side is a medium gain more transparent sound. The pedal runs in a standard 9v but internally it uses a charge pump to run on 18v giving you lots of headroom for a bigger open sound.

CONCLUSION

I have their OKKO Black Beast. it is a blend of Fuzz with OD. It has a massive sound with the best of both worlds blended into a pedal with OD control and tightness but a sound only dropping your tuning would give you.  

In other words they get things 'right'.
