Try thinking of this way. If you think of a Marshall as a mountain of sound and think of a Fender as a valley of sound. You can put the Marshall mountain over a Fender valley and once it fills in the valley what is still heaping on top of that valley will still be a very high Marshall. You however can not put the Fender valley on top of the of the Marshall as a valley has no substance.  

If you have a Fender or an amp based around it's basic design using 6L6 or 6C6 power tubes can be set to it's cleanest sound and this pedal will give you the sound of other Fenders. If that is your situation then this pedal is ideal. I expect if you are using a solid state amp with a good clear clean sound it could add some magic to it too.

The layout is volume,tone and gain. a voicing switch has a 3 Black Face amp tones the Vibrolux, the DeLuxe and the Bassman.

CONCLUSION

The pedal has been the most successful of the Fender ODs for years and this keeps them on top.The voiceings are exceptional but like I said your amp must be dead clean to get them. The last video shows you both an accurate sound of the pedal and also why I hate these pedals. F.all sustain, zip. So if you are thinking of SRV then you better be prepared to crank the sh*t out of your amp to get the sustain via feedback.   

     HEADS UP MARSHALL GUYS 

I recommenced getting the MXR Badass Dynamic. It does not claim to be anything but a touch sensitive OD. If set with the gain around 10 o'clock you can still have that Strat chime ringing like a bell with reasonable sustain. It takes your Marshall into the most Fender of Fenders the Twin Reverb silver face. The Twin is the polar opposite of a Marshall. The pedal only arrived in the shops this week. Read the Post :-)
