NUX C-5RC Guitar Wireless System
5.8 GHz
$195.00 USD |
I have the older NUX and out of about 30 gigs I had interference only once where I did not use it. I use mine at sound check to walk thru the whole club and get the 'real' idea of what the crowd will hear. If I only used it for that then I would HAVE TO have one.
BIG LEAGUE LOOK ON THE CHEAP
Having a plastic lump sticking out of your guitar is a 'no-go' Lets fix it.So lets make it look high end pro with a pouch that clips onto your guitar. You need mini flip top phone pouch, a 1/4 " female to female adapter and solid one piece style pedal patch cord. You simply leave your transmitter folded (see pic) push the adapter on to the transmitters jack, stick the cord into the other end. Pop it into the pouch with the adapter facing towards the back. It fits better this way and avoids turning off the transmitters switch.
The AH Military grade/pouch/Flip phone belt clip holder is a third the price of anything made for the job. Pouches designed specifically as wireless guitar transmitters are oversize to fit a larger unit. They are bulky and look like sh@t as well, lol.
I prefer the switchcraft adapter it is rugged and can take having the hundreds of time you will be pulling out the the transmitter to charge it. On the other hand a cheap solid one piece pedal patch cable is fine. At a couple of bucks they are disposable even though mine has lasted a couple of years already.
the fine print
A guitar is no different than your clothing. You 'wear' your guitar.
So even choosing your guitar for it's shape or color is a valid idea.
Hence the pouch for the wireless. Now while I'm at it I have another pet peeve.
Clip on guitars tuners. They too are beyond ugly.
Would you clip one to ear or eye lases and go out in public?
Why not? Oh you would look like a total goof. I rest my case.
I digress but clip on tuners react and can damage nitro cellulose
lacquer like you get on a Gibson. It not only looks ugly it can seriously
lower the value of your guitar. great easy to read pedal tuners are a
s cheap as $50 a damaged finish on a headstock even on the
cheapest Gibson will cost you more on a trade or sale.
