DELAY- Amplitude X-GEAR X-TIME Delay ...a welcome newcomer with a 5 Star history

AMPLITUDE X-GEAR X-TIME DELAY 

Multimedia IK Productions who have done well with their software. I am talking about $500 a pop software. They have decided to get into the pedal game. Indeed a welcome addition.

They have 4 pedals. A reverb, a modulation pedal a Drive and a now a delay. I expected a lot from the modulation pedal but it was good but not special, the drive is a modeler and has all the standard entry level drawbacks but the sound is impressive. I will have to dive into it more.  The reverb is the big surprise. Even it's monster ambient sound lay in place playing an actual busy tune that is flat picked with lots of busy cord changes. Noticeably better than a Strymon just for a start. In fact heading into Eventide territory.

It has 16 algorithms, 50 presets and 300 places to store your own personal settings. It also has a tap and switchable banks. It has full MIDI function. A USB allows you to use your computer for easily working on programming your patches and layout.

Using current high spec chips it gets it a definitely edge. The Strymon chips are a 12 year old spec. 

Add to that they make their own pedals in where they reside in Italy. Well designed and very well built.

CONCLUSION

Like all pedals high tech or not the devil is in the detail. This for me is not a 'have to get' pedal so 

I for one will wait for ideally a comparison with Strymon and Boss for a start.
