OVERDRIVE- ORIGIN EFFECTS Deluxe 61 ...a 61 Fender Deluxe-in-a-Box

 ORIGIN EFFECTS DELUXE 61

$375.00 USD
Origin made a serious OD the Rival Drive that if your patience could
endure it you could either mimic any guitar amp on the planet or invent your own. It was large very expensive and a headache to program. 99% of those who got it got a good Plexi sound and left it at that. Origin wisely made the 'Compact' which made getting that Plexi faster. they then did the "hot' version' to mimic all the gourmet hot rodded Plexi amps. The obvious thing to do is to simply clone popular amps which seems to be just what they are doing. The new pedal is a vintage Fender.
The voicing is fixed to nail the sound so you can mainly only effect the level and drive. A big part of the Fender amp was there Vibrato which has been nailed with equal aplomb.
CONCLUSION
The pedal will only pull is weight with a very good and clean amp sound. Ideally a Fender tube amp.
MIAB pedals have a sound that literally pretty much buries any amps tone in so far as it is easy to get an acceptable sound. If you were to put this thru a Brit amp of facsimile you would simply have profoundly ridiculously expensive boost pedal It is expensive but if I were a Fender guy I would have ordered one before I even wrote this Post, lol.

THE FINE PRINT
There are no details yet but Origin are going to make
Signature pedals. The first is the Tony Iommi OD.
