there are always a buyer for an old Boss

You might recall the Plugout-FX with its 16 FX & the scheme to get you to buy it and pay to download  more sounds had the YouTubers go ballistic as simply a big con. I was half expecting Boss to wait a year & bring out a more typical pedal with these sounds in  it, and it does have them.  All the extras are a form of apology.😇LOL

The heart of this is MOSFETS. Often referred to as just a FET.

A FET is a transistor that can be used to emulate a tube. However by adding diodes or simply overloading the 

input it can turn the sound into a Fuzz. In fact so much as 

to head into Tone Bender territory or beyond.

The layout is Volume, Treble, Bass, Gate and Gain. Divide, 

Division and Depth scramble the sound but give you enough 

control to keep musical enough to play a tune or to go into 

Star Wars or Shoegaze city. 

             CONCLUSION __

An impressive mix of controlled and musical sound 

and any level of of chaos. A one size fits all with 

both the benefits and rather obvious handicaps 

all such pedals have.

From Spain comes a small boutique pedal builder  

with a take of the SRV fave the Ibanez TS10. It uses 

an original NOS JRC 5558D OpAmp. It is offered in 

several Japanese motifs over the familiar Ibanez 

shaped casing. 

      CONCLUSION __

What can I say? It is what it is. That said 

check out the new Tone City Green Tube.

Still no info. To my ears it sounds like like a Fuzzy-Drive . 

Half silicon Fuzz and half OD. It does sound good but 

it should sell for at least $100.00 USD less.

anything compromised. The layout is Volume, Gain, Treble, 

Bass, Level & Boost that is triggered with a second 

footswitch.

             CONCLUSION __

Elegant and refined in both looks and sound. But 

more so the idea than the sound. If I was going 

to spend big money I would go for the slightly 

cheaper $450.00 USD Vemuram Los Lunas.  

It picks up in gain where this leaves off.

It is what was state of the art 16 years ago for a Brit Stack 

Amp-in-a-Box. The layout is Volume, Treble, Gain and Boost. 

It also has a Mid Boost on a toggle and another toggle for 

Presence.

      CONCLUSION __

Well it does sound very, very good but without 

some basic power chords and a few notes 

featuring what sustain it can do. I wouldn't ...
