I have the OKKO Black Beast Fuzz. A total killer. The company waits years between making a new pedal. No they don't put off working on one. They are however German and have no trouble living up to the stereotype, lol. If a pedal does not meet the players expectations it just disappears without a word and one waits years for a new pedal again.
The Tonebender 1.5 was the blueprint for the Fuzz Face so in that tradition the Holy Grit started there. However they added separate bass and treble, a toggle to choose BIAS settings and a switch to trigger on a buffer so you can place the pedal anywhere on your board without dropouts and f. off pills screwing up the sound.
CONCLUSION
The classic sound is all there but you get a fatter, tight sound with considerably more balz than any T.bender. It even looks great with it's 60's graphics and paint. What's not to love!!!
