The original 1979 ...DOD OD250 is a classic it started with the game changer MXR Distortion and beefed it up like many pedals it is discontinued for the hot new pedals that cane out after it. Years later the pedal is rediscovered and we get a reissue. Getting the discontinued parts in bulk for manufacture is not possible so inevitably the original pedal gets the 'Klon' treatment. Version 2 of the DOD was actually not bad and sold well until being dumped merely a few months ago. The bottom line is the pedal is still a winner and thankfully the Grey Spec lives on using NOS so we can still get the pedal and better still. CHEAP!
it is a medium gain very tube like transparent OD. If nothing else a saviour when having to play at squeaky thin bedroom levels.
WTF! ....handmade in the U.S.A. by a company that have been around for years that give you a lifetime warranty!!! ...If you made one from a kit the parts in this would cost you a lot more!!!!
