AMP- LANEY Supergrace solid state amp___NEW___ NAMM 2026 ___Billy Corgan model

$600.00 USD

 Lane
 SUPERGRACE

A basic old school solid state with 60 watts RMS of power. in short loud enough to drowned out a heavy hitting Metal drummer if you need to. it is all there. A Brit metal sound with a boost and Reverb. Custom Corgan IR to send back to the house or to a DAW.

CONLUSION ___
It gives you very high gain metal but with excellent definition. Definitely a portable solution to get to the gig and not give up using a real amp with its total balz and feedback.

___ NAMM 2026 ___YAMAHA ___New Chris Buck & Pacifica Tele models

YAMAHA

FUZZ- VOX VFZ-1 ___NEW ___Tone Bender mk. 1.5 clone, sort of ???

VOX VFZ-1 FUZZ
$150.00 USD
It looks cool with its old school sloped top folded metal enclosure.
The ToneBender 1.5 was sent to dealers as a Version 2 even though those dealers were already selling V.2 models. It was a BETA testing thing and it was very soon discontinued. It resurfaced with a couple
of mods as the Fuzz Face. Then VOX phoned and wanted a VOX
Fuzz made. They got the 1.5 and a new enclosure.
The layout is Volume, Tone & Gain. A toggle removes the tone
another is a bass cut.
    CONCLUSION __
The original uses Germanium transistors. This uses Silicon.
They are honest enough to admit it so this is not a case of cashing in in the VOX name. They have made an effort to
tinker with the voicing to create a faux Germanium sound.
The bottom line is it is its own thing. The price is fair.
Love it or save your coin.
__<>^ ...a lot of QUACK
The video is also pushing a VOX version of the Rangemaster Treble booster
The video is an overproduced one minute wonder that tells us squat.
NAMM is on so we may yet get something worth evaluating from
for both pedals.

PREAMP- ATTIC AUDIO Putty___NEW___a BOSS FA-1 preamp clone

$200.00 USD
ATTIC AUDIO
PUTTY
__<>^ quack
It is a take on the BOSS FA-1 a first in being
a FET preamp boost OD.
The layout is Volume, Gain, Bass and Treble.
A toggle lets you choose Pre or Post EQ and
another lets you boost highs or lows or leave
it off.
     CONCLUSION __
It adds clarity, boost and punch.

Alternatively ...Valeton made
a very accurate clone.
The Valeton Fret Preamp FP-10.
'Only Pedals' has some NOS
inventory of them. $60.00 USD.

WAMPLER- Pedalhead Power Amp ___NEW___ it could be, LITERALLY a game changer!!!

WAMPLER
PEDALHEAD POWER AMP
NOTE:
Neither a pic or price have been published. You know I will get that ASAP as
I am 99% sure I will buy one. Brian Wampler has a cover band and I know he has
been using a Friedman IR-D. He loves it. I expect it is why he was inspired to make
this amp pedal. I have the Friedman IR-X and am using a borrowed amp because
other pedalboard amps are total crap so I have been waiting for something like this.
___
WTF no pedal pic no price
The unit is a 240 watt Class D stereo power amp that is
designed to sound & perform

like you have a 60 watt RMS Tube amp. It can even push a classic 4X12 if you want.
The unit sweeps whatever speaker cabs using 'machine learning' to match with the amp. It can choose from 6 amp type categories so it for example it can tell if it needs to respond like a Peavey 5150 or a clean Fender etc..
You then can plug in a Tube Pre or even an Amp-in-a-Box pedal of any make & get a very convincing real Tube Amp creating sag, phase inverter and transformer power
section distortion. This lets you hear and feel the response
just like as if it were a  Tube Power amp experience with
both the sound and the feel.
You can then send out the same sound to the house system
sound reinforcement or DAW. You can run it without any cabs.
Yes it has a jack for your headphones as well. It plugs right
into the wall so you do not need a flimsy adapter.
CONCLUSION __
This literally could be a game changer. Other pedalboard amps are just consumer
stereo amps made to play your CD's etc. on. I am sure I will buy one. At worse
it will be compact so I can give my borrowed rack mount back. That said the fact
that Brian Wampler uses virtually the same Friedman Pre as I do makes me
feel hopeful.😇

OVERDRIVE- THE AUDIO CULTIVATION PROJECT Pala ...Fender Bassman10-in-a-Box

THE AUDIO CULTIVATION PROJECT
$300.00 USD
P A L A
A take on a Fender Bassman Combo with 4-10" speakers. It
looks like a 74 blackface Super Reverb. It is NOT the model
used by Marshall to make the JTM45. The pedal has a built in compressor to imitate the compression created by the real
amps output transformer. The layout is Pre volume, Post
volume, Dry to mix in some dead cleans, Treble,
and Offset which is a gain Control.
     CONCLUSION __
I owned the head version of the this amp. The amp
was 30 watt but the sweet spot was not even loud
enough to get over the drummer. I did get great
results in the studio. The PALA is roughly in the
ballpark but really has to be judge as its own thing.
Even if I was really motivated I do not see paying
more than $180.00 for a clone of an amp that on
the whole was inadequate and Fender dropped it.

___NAMM 2026 ___ Perfecto De Castro ___ prep for TONEX & others live demos

 PREP for NAMM

NOTE:  HOW NAMM DOESN'T WORK
The thing about NAMM is opening day is not the first day to walk around
and look at the booths etc. It is the day to put them up from scratch.
In short huge trucks with everything in cases and boxes need to be moved
by hand about an hour away from where they will be assembled. About half
will be done by tomorrow and others will show visitors tomorrow
morning with it only half up, half out and very little working, LOL😟

I have both been a visitor and a buyer for a store and a product specialist
for Ibanez where I demoed and showed guys all over the world how to use
the pedals so they can demo them in the stores they work for back home.
For many English is their second language. That made for a lot of humour
and fun for all of us. Part of the real fun was working in chaos. Things would
malfunction, things would fall over and things would have been forgotten to pack.

I can remember one day asking every visitor for a pick. All day long several guys
would be playing a guitar often unplugged but they wanted a pick. OOPS! 😕
One of our guys had to go to a local music store and came back with big
bowl of Fender picks. A bit embarrassing, LOL.
The next day another guy went out. He came back with Gibson picks, WTF!! 😶
