The most loved OD on the planet that you can actually buy new is the Analog Man King of Tone which is based from putting 2 Marshall BluesBreaker pedals in one box. Since then there are almost as many companies making a BluesBreaker as there are those making a Tube Screamer. Yes they all re-name it and many sell their pedal as being something 100% new but you get my point.

The reason this and many, many hot pedals are popular at the moment 

is they are 'transparent' meaning you can hear your guitar and amp rig almost as if you did not have a pedal turned on. Very few are very transparent so the term covers a broad range.

The layout is simple with just Level, Gain and Tone and V.2 has a toggle for cutting the highs. 

CONCLUSION ____ 

Do you want transparent? If this were any more

transparent it would be invisible. You get the great

stuff a good OD can do but for example if you play

a Strat the chime from your PU's ring like a damn bell. 

I have bought several so-called transparent Drives for 

twice the money and this makes them sound like total junk!!!!

ALL are used just to cover a single gig.
