OVERDRIVE- DEMON FX FAT MOUSE ___NEW___ another rogue Rat :-)

FAT MOUSE
Yes yet another Rat. This gives you both the basic Rat circuit but the Fat Rat pedal thing as well. Where it gets different you get a FET circuit as well. FET transistors' work and sound very close to tubes. The pricy gourmet Amp-in-a-Box is where they kill. So it is really like a choice of 2 deferent pedals.
The layout is Gain, Tone and Level. A toggle lets you switch to a standard or Fat Rat sound. Another between Rat or FET OD.

CONCLUSION ___
The Rat is just one sound in a family of hardclipper OD's. This is not very ProRat Rat II sounding. It is however a good and a versatile OD that can check a lot of boxes.

  1. Wonder if this is the same as the Joyo version. Then you have the other Mosky series with the 5 different setting.

  2. No these are all made and designed at the Moogoo factory. Moogoo have I think 4 different Rat pedals. They just dropped a new gold painted one they call the DemonFX Golden Rat. It comes in a standard Hammond B casing. I think it is their old Super Rat the only thing different is the paint and the name. they look identical. Most are all using the same circuit but they have to make new circuit boards to fit them in the different casings. The Fat Mouse is different because it has the FET thing so you can use it as if it were a Boss yellow OD type pedal as well as a Rat.
The new one is going to be their budget pedal. It has the DemonFx logo and after adding in shipping casts $30.00 USD. It is so new the paints wet so there are not any videos yet. The $40.00 Mosky King Rat has the most bells and whistles. It is in a B box too. The knobs are in a long vertical line so the board is new. It has each of ProCo Rat sounds on it. The Dirty, Vintage,Turbo & Fat. They all come from the Moogoo company who owns the whole deal. The names, the factory and the one or two designers. They still make forgeries there too. I have their Fulltone OCD. It is a replica of v.2 It even says Fulltone and made in the U.S.A. on it, LOL
