Whoa! This is different.
It has 3 controls. Girth that fattens the sound and output which your basic level/volume control. A switch gives you 3 voicing's.
The original circuit is a the old DOD 250 preamp with it's vintage LM741 OpAmp but you can blend in a silicon or LED diode which gives it it's OD character. The girth control blends in lows that are kept separate from the main signal so they cannot muddy the sound ...this is key to the pedals success. It has the sound of a Gated Fuzz designed to create feedback into itself that has to be gated to stop all the squealing and junk created by doing so. But the sound is not being fed back into itself so it does not need a gate because it is not a Fuzz. The overall sound is damn harsh!!! But in an unusually pleasing way. On single notes the sound is incredibly defined and clear. Zero mud or mush!!!

It ain't no Marshall Plexi!!!
It has a ridiculous rip your face off sound! It reacts like an OD but the tone is more like an over the top Fuzz that only a Fuzz fanatic would love. It has just as much aggression as the very best Metal pedal but it has none of the smoothness and gloss of one of those.
If a great Metal pedal is a Doberman this pedal is a Pit Bull!
You can only love it or hate it ...not a sound to be indifferent about.
I LOVE IT!!!
...it's on this guy's short list!
