Any company but Diamond would be selling this pedal as a different OD. It has taken an excellent pedal to a pedal that if you put it side by side with the coveted Analogman King of Tone and made you choose ...you would go nuts.

Let me tell you straight up the two pedals have virtually zero similarity in their schematic.

The KOT is based off the classic Marshall Blues Breaker but is heavily tweaked and modified with vintage old parts not made in decades....or NOS parts if you prefer the term.

The Diamond is a totally different beast. It uses modern high end components like ...Vishay JFET transistors, Burr Brown OPA 3124 opamps amps,  Schottky diodes & even a transformer output stage to smooth out the upper mids and highs. Not important unless they sound great ...& they do but the killer is the feel.
The damn thing must be reading every nerve and muscle in your hands :-)

CONCLUSION

Hey if you want a KOT get in the line. Buy this and use it while you are waiting. You may find

you will compare ...then sell your KOT for a thousand bucks ...and as the clche goes laugh all the way to the bank :-)
