SO what's the big difference.
A little history. Over the years the early pedals were

dropped by the pro's and as they wanted the great sounds of studio gear. Manufacturers started to produce dumbed down rack mount gear. Mike Matthews ended up with EH going bankrupt.
He moved to Russia just after the fall of communism and started a new company ...Sovtek
Using Russian parts he made a new Big Muff the 'high front' Russian Muff ...painted in an army 'Drab Green'
Many think it was not only the fattest fullest Muff..but it had a unique sound too.
Pedal makers have tried and produce pedals based off of this design. The general overall sound is there but none have got that woody hollow resonance of the original.
The big difference with the Arc is that they nailed it!!!

When It comes to great sound detail is everything! 

Many makers do the Sovtek. The Way Huge Swollen Pickle Fuzz is a case in point. It sounds amazing until compared with the ARC. The tone of the ARC does not have to be optimized for only the one massive setting for shredding and power chords. Lighter settings sound so rich that they can be used for accompaniment parts behind the vocals etc. This quite literally makes this pedal in my mind as 'twice' as good as it's competitors. It is the equivalent of an OD that has both a good medium and high gain. I do not know of another fuzz with a good medium gain sound.

If I had the room on my board I would order one today!

There are hundreds of Fuzz boxes that on first impression are total scorchers. Trust me many have no tone. You will soon tire of them. The BIG GREEN is a little masterpiece.

. Yes some of the big names make a a FEW great pedals. The EH MINI POG is a masterpiece. They make the NANO POG...they claim it is the same...BULL !!!!

So you get my point!
If you are in the market for a Fuzz there are many that are a blazing rip your face off models. But you get one and it has no real tone or any depth to the sound so you soon tire of it.
 But with the  BIG GREEN you will find in no time months later and you are using it ...over and over ..and over.

ARC are one of the smaller players. They are all about high quality...great sound and a fair price. They have something that a lot of what many of the big makers have not. INTEGRITY
 if we do not support them they will be gone.
