The layout is confusing. You get BIAS that controls your level input. 

Bloom which could be a swelling effect or just fix mid boost. highs, 

Body which could be lows but again mids, Clip is usually distortion 

from diodes. I expect this is an OpAmp Fuzz. They do not say. 

 

     CONCLUSION ___.

For a start it has a tasteful old time look. There are a lot 

of scary and I expect even unusable noises. But that said some things are just left or right of center that could get 

you thru a tune OK and have the crowd wanting more. 

The sale price makes it less a gamble.

The Ibanez Mostortion came out in the the 90's but except for Nashville studio players it did poorly. It was the first to have a pedal using FET transistors. A FET has the same characteristics of real 

tubes and most of the very best Amp-in-a-Box pedals use them. It

does indeed have tube like qualities and players say it is all about 

the feel and the dynamics responding to your touch. Hit hard it expresses loud or hit lighter and lighter it can smoothly follow 

more and more or less and less of any amplitude you create.

The layout is Volume, Gain, Bass, Mids and Treble.  

 

   CONCLUSION ___ 

As a category it's a semi transparent 

medium gain overdrive. Those FETs 

make it a surprisingly damn good one.

The first of the REVV-amp-in-a-Box became the industry standard by

which other amp makers who wanted to offer a pedal that cloned their amp had to match or better. this new series raises the bar 

again to clearer tighter and nails it in a mix.  

   CONCLUSION ___ 

Even the first series had Pros using it instead of the 

big amps or indeed recording with them. It made 

REVV come out with a line of small amps with 

recording direct from them was a major feature

that other makers copied. The company is always

innovating and hitting the bullseye every time.

lf you bought version one you are screwed as it is not a Dumble 

because if it was they would not need to bring a new one out.😡

The layout is Level, Sensitivity, Contour and Accent. What they 

all mean according to the M.Professor is a secret???

           CONCLUSION ___

The pedal sounds very good. Does it sound like a Dumble??? According to Robben Ford who owns an actual Dumble amp 

the Hermida Zen Drive sounds like his amp. This does not sound like a Zen Drive.

Add to that the DemonFX Z-Drive is all but a forgery of the 

Zen Drive. It uses identical parts without substitutions. Mine cost $30 with free shipping from AliExpress. 

That said in spite of my 'BUTS' the M. Pro is a very good sounding OD pedal. I even heard Robben Ford git given one. Hmmm, lets wait and see.

From ol' Brit comes a bit of very modern thinking to instantly

nailing 100% usable Tonebender that can be easily under control. 

The layout tells it all. You get the necessary Gain and Volume controls but that orange knob Strife controls the signals input 

by starving the voltage. 

You can choose a gritty velcro thing or have a more even 

hard clipper OD like effect. 

            CONCLUSION ___ 

Ideas are great but the basic sound has to be nailed. 

It covers all the better Tonebenders and Fuzz Facer's

very well. Just a second or two with the Strife knob

and you have it all.

Amp-in-a-Box. Not a particular clone of any amp brand.

All analog and more in the vein of Thrash and related genres then a modern sound.

CONCLUSION ___ 

It has good basic sound but it is not

particularly better than the $80 USD

Joyo Extreme or the $40 USD Caline

Tantrum.

This pedal is a clone, of a clone. The defunct Exar Moon Metal which is 

a beefed up take of the infamous Marshall Shredmaster pedal. 

Drunk Beaver are a Ukraine company with an impressive take on many defunct gems but of those that have been so far missed or passed over 

as having much too small of a market. Needless to say Ukraine is hardly ideal with a full scale war to manufacture anything not war related. They have moved to Poland & although slowed down they are not stopped. 

     CONCLUSION ___ 

The videos are poor so I posted a video of the
Exar to gives you a reasonable idea of what to expect

from the Drunk Beaver version. They will of course

have some differences but DB are a legit European

company not MIC budget brand. They are cheap

but so are many classic Boss pedals.

A UREI 1176 Compressor-in-a-Box. UA bought out UREI before they were in even in biz for a year. They have owned it for decades. Who better to make the pedal. Jimmy Page and other players stack one UREI on a second to double the sustain. The pedal does this by just clicking the toggle.  

CONCLUSION ___ 

If a comp can be transparent than this one is. It can tighten and level your sound and add near endless sustain without it being even a bit distracting. 

The guy who doesn't like Comps NEEDS to try it before shutting the door on comps. Remember we all got into guitar from records that had a comp on the guitar if not indeed an 1176.

You can check their first Fuzz the RARA AVUS I did a week ago.

They only have 2 pedals but if it is good as the last one it is in that OK but nothing exciting category.

This is 3 Fuzz in one box. A standard kind of a Muff, an octave up and a Low octave. Each has a volume to mix in how many and how much goes thru the output.

CONCLUSION __

Like their other Fuzz it is very pedestrian. Usable but I do not hear any bit of aggression or attention grabbing feature. The low bass is old school analog that can only play one note at a time and tracks very badly. The classic high octave has no scream or serious velcro rip. The basic Muff like Fuzz is rather bland. If it were a beer it would be Fuzz Lite.
