OVERDRIVE- TUBESTEADER Eggnog ___ NEW ___ Tweed-in-a-Box? convincingly 'real'
TUBESTEADER|EGGDRIVE
$250.00 USD
Made by a small company in Montreal Canada. This is their 3rd tube pedai. The pedal uses a 12AX7 tube. 99% of all tube amps use them in their preamp. The pedal is basically a FET OD. The tube is added in the mix to warm up the sound. All tube preamps in a pedal are either too big or really, really expensive or sound like total crap. A single tube is the way to go. That said they tend to take over your sound. I find they don't blend in well when all your other dirt pedals are solid state. To refrain from a lot of detail let me just say they work best with a really clean amp. A Fender silver face is ideal like a Deluxe or Twin Reverb. They can however sound really impressive thru transistor amps on a clean channel.
The 'Egg' is a take on a Fender Tweed. I feel it would be at it's best with a guy into
Blues, Americana or Alternative.
The layout is volume, gain, bass, mid, treble and boost.

era as there were many small regional companies that merely sold
locally meaning the states around them.
If you always dreamed of an old 50's combo that seems
