FAKE PLASTIC TREES
Steve Crow started the biz to make make small practice/recording studio amps 27 watts or less that would literally be state of the art. Players like Angus Young and Reeves Gabriel have bought them, and so have countless recording studios.
Any pedals have been primarily tube preamps.
They do not base the design on traditional favorites.
They strive for a full rich tone that is above
all else sensitive to your touch.
Great expression is number one.
The 'Plastic' is something new as it uses
JFETS but it ties in a transformer and
a faux amp circuit so that the pedal truly reacts
like in a convincing a tube amp manner.
CONCLUSION
The sound is aimed at the Blues, Country and Roots thing. it's very organic and transparent. Add a classic Fender like a Deluxe or Bassman and you have one killer rig. Impressive but pricey.
