  OVERDRIVE- SBS UNDER  $100.00 USD 

This is the name of the post that was started on December 30, 2015 It has been added to and updated every week since. Many of you know and follow it still. In fact there are well over 3000 of you.
Others have never been there. It is all about pedals that are dirt cheap but are ...on the first rung of the Pro ladder some even climb higher
.
Some will buy them and keep them forever. Oh sure they will buy that new gourmet Metal pedal. But that $30.00 part for part clone of the first ts808 Tube Screamer is never going to go!!!
The NUX CH3 chorus is about $30.00 and clean clear and huge sounding.

I myself still have a few...I have a $600.00 digital delay but one third of all my use of a delay is done on an analog delay pedal I paid $23.00 for the Mighty sound M5.
It has 'the' Panasonic chip that you find in every Gourmet analog delay over $200.00. The chip is indispensable! It takes just a few dollars of additional parts carefully chosen to form the basic 'voice' of the unit to sound great. A few years back it was voted as one of the ....BEST 5 DELAYS
 All the others were well over $150.00.

Many of the big companies plow excessive amounts of money into marketing. They spend silly amounts of money on some mediocre pedals assembling it into a very impressive box. Not a stronger box.
The footswitch is state of the art ...yet the guy buying never turns it off.  He switches this $325.00 pedal  with his $1000.00 plus digital switcher. LOL
A good quality but a little bit noisy switch will work fine for a good 10 years under normal use.

This is not new...a Corvette on a short race will beat a 911 Porsche. The Fiat 500 ABARTH can beat an entry level Ferrari even on winding roads.

So check out any type of pedal for some CHEAP but cool choices!!!

You will not only save money but will find a few special gems.

My favourite FUZZ is made by a little company in Moscow. Analog Fox... it is a part for part clone of a Sovtek Tall Font Big Muff ...all the parts are NEW old stock. Stuff collecting dust in different suppliers warehouse that missed being thrown out. It cost me $85.00 and that included the shipping.

I would DIE!!! without it. It is quite simply mind blowingly good. Add to that the build quality is second to none. You get a plain galvanized metal but high quality industrial sturdy box. The wiring and soldering is a work of art,

Put it beside a gourmet updated clone and be prepared to be shocked!!! The tone of the 'Fox' has all this harmonic detail. The gourmet pedal in contrast sounds like  a muddy smeared mess ...or a strident buzz saw with the bearings clattering in the motor!!!

Do not get me wrong ...I have many gourmet pedals.
But for the price of say one of the more popular big name US companies. I have bought  pedals from companies from ...Greece ...Venezuela..., Australia... the Czech Republic ..Italy ...Canada ...Hungry ...Chile ...Argentina ...Turkey...ETC. ETC.
 All better sounding ...all beautifully made...all for half the price ...or ...for the same price but pop off the bottom and you see nothing but audiophile parts all exquisitely hand wired. One company actually uses virtually only military spec parts!!! They also make the best high gain Plexi on the planet!!!
It has a heavier low end then my KHDK Metal pedal!
There are also small US guys like Lawrence Petross Designs. His LPD SIXTY 8 Drive
 pedal is so good that it eclipses 99% of any Marshall sounding medium gain OD you have ever heard. No amount of praise is even enough for how good this pedal is!
I have already said more about this pedal then anyone other then those that own one can even remotely believe. Too bad because you will not follow it up ...and you will end up with second best or worse no matter what you pick.

So shop smart. Whatever your budget! Top money can buy the best or a lot of bull!!! Small money can get you decent pro sounding stuff cheap.

Lastly...use the whole site...Nothing in it is yesterdays news...there are 178 separate Posts...many that have been updated many,many times. In short I often put another new Post in the original Post.

There were another 50 Posts that I totally erased and then deleted simply because they were current news and events of that date. I keep only that which is relevant. I will not waste your time.

I HAVE ONE SINGLE GOAL ...TO MAKE THIS NOT ONLY THE BEST PLACE TO REFER TO FOR PEDALS. BUT TO MAKE IT TOTALLY INDISPENSABLE TO ANY PLAYER NO MATER WHAT HIS BUDGET OR NO MATER WHAT IS HIS STYLE.

THE BEST MUSIC HAS NOT EVEN BEEN THOUGHT OF YET...LIKE ANY CREATIVE THING  TOOLS ARE NEEDED TO MAKE IT.

THE BEST PEDALS FOSTER CREATIVITY!!!

ONE THING I KNOW FOR SURE.. WHEN THE SOUND I MAKE SOUNDS BETTER I PLAY BETTER ...WHEN I PLAY BETTER AND SOUND BETTER ...I SPEND MORE TIME PLAYING ...CREATING AND CHALLENGING MYSELF TO GO HIGHER ...FASTER ...FURTHER AND HENCE BETTER!!!
