NEED TO KNOW___ No matter where a guitar is made the parts are global

MOST DIFFERENCES ARE SIMPLY NOT VALID
At lowest end of the entry level market a guitar will always be made of the cheapest parts.
On the other hand mid price guitars and up are made of the same materials. The wood is
sourced internationally but the bulk is from America both North and South. The hardware
is Asian and even if it is an American made brand the parts that it is made of are Asian.
Any differences are primarily quality control and the time allowed on fine adjustments to
the fit and attention to anything impeding the playability.
Always keep in mind most of this can be done after a purchase. Once you add just a few upgrades

an Asian made guitar for 3 or $400 will be very comparable to an American guitar over $2000.

THE HERITAGE LES PAUL ASCENT H-150+ __ $700.00 USD
From the folks that made the actual original Gibson Les Paul Standards.
Their Asian guitars are made to compete with Epiphone. Its spec has a

proper maple cap on a mahogany body. Not just cosmetics but serious

pro guitars. Is a Gibson Les Paul Standard 4 times better ??? Are we getting ripped off ???

If TONEX went out of business you are

screwed. If a company that only uses

NAM goes under you just take your

personal library with you and move to

another brand. Once there you can keep

downloading the free 6000 plus library.

_ NAM A2 _ 10 budget pedals shootout using the identical downloaded sounds

A scientist would have to conclude that if you want the perfect representation of an amp that amp would have to be represented by

NAM tech. If you hated it and loved the sound of another tech it is only because you are a musician born with that incurable affliction.

You take 10 of the cheapest budget NAM A2 digitally simulated amp pedals. Load the identical sound in each one & see which can accurately reproduce the sound closest to the metered

then recorded spec of the actual amp.

CONCLUSION __

I am not surprised the Valeton won because before they got into the Modeling Industry they were & are the one both making from scratch and/or supplying all the parts for everyone else. They do not need the 'middle man' they are the 'middle man'. Their GP-5 came in 4th and smokes the bottom 5 yet is the cheapest by a lot at $70.00 USD.

In short it squeaked into the pro sound quality which makes it worlds cheapest backup/emergency rig. It also has the supper bonus that you can literally carry it to the gig in the pocket of

your jeans.

It is basically the ol' Keeley Phat Mod Drive/BOSS

Blues Driver clone stacked on a simple tube PreAmp.

The Layout has a Volume, Gain & Tone for each side.

CONCLUSION __

It sounds impressive but if you are already using

a tube amp you might want to try a ordinary

Blues Driver. Better yet the $40.00 USD

Joyo Bright Day Waza Craft clone of it.

I spent $2500.00 USD for a Fractal AXE III and they are now telling me a damn $70 Valeton GP-5 is better. Damn YouTubers will tell you any bullsh@t for a few bucks!!!

Well today was going to be something I was really looking forward to.

neither country can say what it is. So I have to wait until the squabble

I just checked my Stats.
Stomp Box Steals has just past 4 million hits. SBS all started on Xmas Day in 2015. I thought

I had at best 3 months of ideas and info to share. What happen is you guys kept asking questions.

I felt obligated to give not just basic answers but useful answers so you could make comparisons

and choices and not end up with a dozen Tube Screamers just because they were labeled with pretentious names and sold as some apocalyptic new tech, LOL

I soon came to the conclusion that I had to get the bottom off pedals and see what made them tick.

I then went down the longest rabbit hole in history to what parts did and why they were there. Diodes, 3 basic types of transistors, OpAmps, resistors etc, etc, etc. Next it was tube amps, and a whole new thing. In the last couple of years it is all about digital amp simulators. The bullsh@t about them is laid on with a trowel. But next year?
