OVERDRIVE- THORPY FX Scarlet Tunic ___ NEW___ Selmer-in-a-Box ___

THORPY FX SCARLET TUNIC

$330.00 USD
In the early Pink Floyd days the guitarist lead vocalist was Syd Barret and he used a Selmer Treble & Bass 50 amp.
As usual the build quality is stellar and the clarity of the tones is always good. It gets down the ascetic of the voicing. I was never into early Floyd and it did not get radio airplay like in Brit where Syd was a celebrity.
So the sounds are incredibly impressive with the unique Selmer but two other voicings as well. A Vox AC30 and a Hi Watt as well.
CONCLUSION
I might even find I love it for it's excellent Vox like chime alone but at $330.00 USD ...OUCH! It is on the back burner, and the one that is turned off :-)
Still it is yet another milestone as we slowly get a greater variety of the Amp-in-a-Box style pedals.

  2. Hello Paul
What pedal would you advise me to buy, the Sarno Earth Drive or the Browne Carbon Overdrive? Are they similar?
    Thank you!

  3. The Sarno is very rich and full and sounds best thru a really clean amp like a Fender. The Carbon has a glassy brite vibe that can work with anything but it especially helps with dark sounding amps like my with my Marshall it really brightens the tone. The Carbon has more gain though I do not use it. A lot of Sarno guys use small Fender amps or to give them more of an old Fender Tweed amp sound.
