PRE/OD - ELECTRONIC AUDIO EXPERIMENTS The Bard __NEW__ MusicMan-in-a-Box

ELECTRONIC AUDIO EXPERIMENTS
 The Bard
$200.00 USD
Tom Walker of Music Man started out with amps first.  Although he brought in Leo Fender as a consultant. The amp had a tube power section and Tom Walkers  transistor per-Amp. In the late 70s when they came out, some of the folk and what later would become the kind of guys in indie alt loved them especially for the cleans. This is literally the Pre from the 1974 to1984 HD130.The layout is Level, Gain, Bass and Treble with a Bright switch.

CONCLUSION ___ It has it's own totally different vibe.
Great for low to medium sounds that are open, bright
and very much transparent. Often these days we use
cleans for flat picking and finger styles or with ambient
pedals for chimey dreamy things. Our clean is too
clean and so-called transparent pedals are just too dirty.
This could be the answer.

the fine print
....this is a very timely pedal. The more is more is now conquered, and what we need is less dirt and more tone.
I never suggest to anyone that a single pedal is enough . Once you have a killer MIAB or a take on a Soldano
or other monster amp it is not good enough to get cleaner sounds with what are 99% of the time a
tweaked over tube Screamer and a Blues Breakers. This indeed could be subtle game changer.
