When Marshall made their pedals in Brit they came up with
2 classics the medium OD the Guvnor and a low gain pedal
the Bluesdriver which was an alternative to a Tube Screamer.
Snouse is quite simply a clone with a few extra bells and whistles.
Oddly enough it has it's own legion of fans, It even gets compared to the King of Tone.
CONCLUSION
Yawn.

ReplyDeleteI have at least 60 OD's if like the black box you might like the left side of the King of Tone.
DeleteThe King of Clone is a part for part replica using the same NOS. It is about $120,00 USD.
The other side is a Tube Screamer. In fact the only ts that I have ever liked.
I love my old, original black box Blues Breaker pedal. I've tried several pedals based on that circuit, but must say the Snouse BB2 is by far the best for my ears and needs. Not only can I ape the original BB's tones, the extra features make the Snouse the BEST pedal of this ilk I've used. It has a great natural feel to it, responds beautifully to playing dynamics and the guitars volume control. I can honestly say it's become my favorite overdrive pedal.
