DELUXE MEMORY MAN
and the cost to build it. V.3 came out in 1990 & is the go to. > > >We now have its replacement and a smaller budget one.
The Nano. In my opinion they all sound similar
and they all sound Pro.
I am totally happy with my Movall clone as the difference
between it and the nano is inconsequential.

CONCLUSION ___ Like all Rock gear the best is the one that inspired us when we heard it used by a great player, or we matured to, when we found what worked for us.
The Deluxe Memory Man works for me but that said the Movall Falling Star nails it so why spend more?_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The first ... more of a collectors item _$1200 USD
few still work. It sounds like the 1990 but is very noisy.

The Falling Star is a secret weapon. Sounds good, takes other pedals well and is dirt cheap. WIN!
ReplyDeleteI pulled my BOSS Space Echo pedal to try it. The Movall is still on my board and the Boss is sitting on a shelf, lol.
DeleteThe Movall is a Keeley Mag Echo clone. It’s a mix of analog and digital but there are no BBD’s in there. Just the Princeton PT2399 chip like the Mosky Sky Blue delay or Mad Professor. I agree the Movall is good for its price. It has a great modulation section that can be used alone if you turn the delay time down. It even has a preamp. However the repeats are extremely dark and noisy. It’s at its best around 300ms or less. It is not a Deluxe Memory Man clone though. It isn’t even a Memory Boy clone. Can’t complain about the price though.
