It is not a new product, that was 17 years ago but a 

re-issue of V.2. The timing was bad. Guys back then were not ready for programing a sound but after 15 years of Modelers and now cheap ambience pedals this will seem easy. It does all the ordinary phasing things and dialing 

in a faux MXR Phase 90 is easy. But what it does is a Wha thing but instead of boosting the frequency like a Wha it sweeps the phase. The other cool thing is it can do either or both at the same time. Decades ago some studios would do this manually and it was a lot of trial and 

error to nail a good track of it. 

     CONCLUSION ___

The basic sound is damn impressive just from the get-go. You can add 

foot switches to control 3 functions in real time. Ideal in a solo to wow 

your audience! Pigtronix has been with us forever. They were one of the 

early Gourmet pedal companies. Quality parts, a very robust build and 

an excellent 'value for money' has always been their goal. 

Their Philosopher's Tone mini Comp has been on my board for over 

8 years and gets used just about every day of the year, 😎.
