Boss introduced the PW-2 as a Grunge pedal in 1995. The problem was Grunge was all about making do with used cast offs. An old Fuzz, OD or 

two dimed and stacked was the sound not a single defined thing like an amp brand and a specific guitar. It lasted just one year and was pulled. D.B. has brought it back.

The layout is, Power is Gain, Vacuum is a blend of octave up, Exhaust is Level, Fat is Bass, Muscle is a mid boost or scoop, and Air is a high cut/boost.

      CONCLUSION __ 

The pedal has its own character. You could probably dial in a close enough sound of it with a good graphic EQ. It has enough balz to merit a good look.

In short if your ears say 'YES' go for it!
