On most pedals it is enough to see Treble Mids and Bass. A graphic EQ simply divides all this into smaller pieces. For example if you split the mids in two you would have both an upper and lower mid. On a 31 band EQ you might have those mids cut into 10.

A guitar is not a piano so just putting in its frequencies has done the job. Pedal EQ for decades was either usually 6 or 10 bands. We then got mini pedals with 5. Seven is unique to this unit.

Like all pedals they have tones unique to the brand that are or not loved 

by different players. 

CONCLUSION ___

Demos of an EQ can tell how an amp or dirt pedal is improved overall using them but not the sound of the pedal. You either try one or go on trust. Steve Stevens uses this. He is anal about sound so I trust his

judgement. If not for him I would have passed on reviewing this.
