JHS now have revived the ROSS brand primarily known for making a modded MXR Dyna-Comp that became the blueprint for about half of all comps.

When we simplify dirt pedals we have 3 types. The Overdrive has mildy clipped waveform, a Fuzz has drastically clipped waveform.

A Distortion is in the middle. The Ross tries to do all 3. It doesn't.

It is more of a hard clipper Distortion. The layout is Volume and Gain with switch that adds a second gain stage.

CONCLUSION ___

It is quite a good and very useful medium to 

near high gain OD. Pushed hard it gets far to 

thin and sounds like an angry mosquito, lol 

That said between 10 and 2 O'clock it is 

really very good.
