RENEGADE FUZZ 

Small yet clever and good sounding Fuzz of a classic. This was the circuit that with a few twists became the Fuzz Face. When released it was sold as v.2 Tone Bender but it was only sold a very short time and what we know as a v.2. Like the original it uses germanium transistors.  

The layout has a volume pot but the voice is fixed on a sweet spot and a switch gives you 3 stages of BIAS.

You can run it at 9v or as high as 18v for more headroom.

CONCLUSION

The fixed voice and fixed points of BIAS give you a very controlled sound even in the down position with it's modern gated thing it keeps the spit and sputter in check.. If you are an OD guy at heart it could be the perfect solution.
