In the 70's Orange designed and made a line of pedals. It was a case of too little too late. They nailed the sound of the day but by the time they came out all the classic makes of pedals were already in the stores and a few were the hot next generation. But fans of Orange kept asking Orange to re-release the pedals. Well one problem is that most of the parts have not been made in decades. But they dug up and even borrowed the old pedals from collectors. To insure they have and keep it right they are made in the UK. The casing is overly big for today's boards but they are repro boxes. Much of the whole effort is more about the fun of them. I chose the distortion to review as it above the others is still a relevant sound for the modern Blues, Americana or Alt player.

The layout is level and gain with the voice fixed.

CONCLUSION

It borders on Fuzz in it's upper range. It captures the era and definitely 

has it's own sound with plenty of character. If you love it ...great. 

If it's not for you fine. It is really not trying to be cool but that's 

what makes it cool, lol. I have the French made Pimento Sardine. 

Same thing, it just has its own vibe and I smile every time I play it.
