Like many pedal builders they started out modding amps, went to handwired custom amps than slowly ended up with many models Made in China with very bad quality control :-(

The U.S. stuff is excellent still hands on with ol' Bruce Egnater himself. He always wanted both quality but affordability. With tube amps it is not so easy with solid state pedals with good design and a balance between parts and price it is. 

The re-release only happened days ago and so far I have only found any at Sam Ash. Sam has the Gold and the Silver.

There are 3 models the Goldsmith a with MIAB vibe, the Silversmith with a JCM 800 vibe and the Black Metal a high gain Metal pedal.

When they first came out they were continually out of stock. They then came out with the pedals in a standard 'C' enclosure. They disappeared again and came back with the original style. They then disappear for a few years.

They are now back. The price is the same and so is the original enclosure.

The layout is for the OD side is volume, gain and tone with a voicing switch for the mids. There is a tight switch to kill boom in the lows. The Boost side has both level and gain and EQ and it's own tight switch. Another toggle lets you signal of the two sides.

CONCLUSION

You have a lot to work with. It looks great 

and is priced more than reasonable. 

Best of all it sounds excellent !!!
