Shawn Tubbs favorite OD. It is a low to medium gain OD. They set out to get a 70's Brit tone. Not unlike a Marshall set to a medium level. Even dimed it is right at crunch but just. It has a limited sustain. Backed off a bit it sounds like a single Brit channel amp with a healthy level but below crunch.
It does this sound so well that in my book this and not the Tube Screamer thing is the way to go. For my music I do not need or want anything cleaner than this for a clean sound.
CONCLUSION
I am impressed the pedal has great tone. With a sound
just in the clean/dirt crossover spot anything with the
smallest weakness falls flat! This is a real winner!
