THE UPDATERJuly 2026
I separate those pedals that are a steal from thosethat are stealing from you at any priceIF IT IS WORTH KNOWING IT IS HERE FIRST !!!
_________________________________________________________________________________________
WTF...the new modelers are cheaper than a than last years price for a tank of gas! But today once I fill the tank I can't even afford them!!!
TIME OUTLast month was top heavy with multi-effect/ digital amp simulators which either Model, Capture or use NAM. The new NUX MG50 li uses all 3. The Livtra Music Velrix is $45. The NUX with it all is under $500 and the Adota AME 200 that is a full size full featured unit is only $130. They all share a common thing. After a simple listen the very cheapest and the most pricy sounded the same. To hear a guy play the cheapest at a club or on a band recording you would not know if you were hearing a $200 dollar or 2 thousand dollar sound!!!
I simply have to laugh when I think that a great player with a 70 guitar old tube amp and guitar can make most of us look like beginners, gets a better sound and their gear is worth 10 times what they paid for it. Next year their gear will be worth even more but todays gear will be worth only a smile.
Benjamin Franklin who played the guitar said that people these days know the price of everything
but the value of nothing.
LENARD Re-InventionsFUZZ 1
To those who are following the launch of my own brand of pedals I havean update. As you know I have the prototype know for a month. It is anOpAmp Fuzz I simply named Fuzz 1.The enclosure, the circuit board and other parts come like 99% of mostpedals from China. For example Electro-Harmonix does not make pedals they assemble them in NY. At this point assembly is likely to be done in Sweden or Canada.
Connect-the-LinksThe Fuzz was designed by Karl Eriksson in Sweden who designs pedals for Shenzhen Grand Technology.
My pedal has his Custom Shop spec especially for a high-end OpAmp only found in high-end dirt pedals. They will be handmade in batches. I will get them next to test and label before shipping.Small beginnings, lol. Today 12 Industrial vinyl labels with graphics
by Robert McVean arrived.I applied one to the prototype and took a quick snap so you can have a look. The costs are tight. BIG BUT! I am under my budget by a total of $2, LOL....the selling price of $100.00 USD is still on target.
TOYS FOR THE OLDER BOYS
Some old, some new, all cool !!!
MOVALL MP-319 DYNOSTAURA take on the infamous Bjorn Juhl's BJF Dyno Red Distortion, MIAB pedal. Better known if made by Mad Professor as they licenced half their pedals from Juhl.
..at $25.00 USD a pop, why not!!!
