MMK ELECTRICS| NORRIS FUZZ
Well it appears we have be a new boy from Kenai Alaska. More I can not find.So what we get according to the builder is a two knob Fuzz using a ...quality ...OPA2134 chip. Which my dear readers is a Texas Instruments jobbie that sells retail for $3.35 USD, or 10 for $2.59 USA each
plus shipping, lol. What we are told is we get is a Fuzz that is a cross between a Muff and a Fuzz Face. The layout has two knobs. Volume and gain. It can be run on as high as an 18v adapter for more headroom.
CONCLUSION __
First it has a nice old school finish and graphics on the enclosure.
The brown and yellow is from the original Fuzz Tone. It has a nice germanium sounding vibe. A great working mans Fuzz without
spit and sputter so it could be used in endless tunes.
It is 10 times the price of my AZOR Cattle Fuzz. Over twice the price of several Electro Harmonix and I think
a fair comparison is the Way Huge Swollen Pickle at $150.00 USD. Even Beetronix has a Fuzz hand made under $200.00.
My point is if you are the new guy making a Fuzz it has to be damn special. This is perfectly good Fuzz but hardly unique or
using rare NOS parts. So WTF!!!! It should be $175.00 at the most.
