No this is not a Post on a $4000 amp, lol.
Yes Soldano has 'the' pedal!!! Mike Soldano invented 'the' gourmet amp. Has also designed this pedal.
Both the Peavey 5150 and the MESA Dual Rectifier use the Soldano SLO topography to make their amp.
Yes you could argue everything since is a clone. A tech would agree with you even if the owners of other amps won't, LOL.
The layout is volume, gain, treble, mid & bass with a button on the side for'depth'.

CONCLUSIONThe two biggest selling OD's in the last 10 years in pure numbers of pedals sold are the Fulltone OCD and the Friedman BEOD. I think this will be the the 3rd pedal to join these two. I do not claim this is the best OD on the planet, nor do claim it isn't. It is not a Klon or even a King of Tone but those pedals were never or not made in large numbers. It will be like the first year of the Ibanez Tube Screamer a massed produced OD that is now worth the 'Big' money.
NOTE:
The first video is by Tone King and gives the best idea idea of just how scary close the pedal is from the amp.
He compares it to his original SLO that he bought decades ago. He plays classic Metal which infinitely
easier to hear the tone. Modern Metal is constantly playing 8th note chugs and the chords and notes
don't ring out long enough to give you time to analyse the sound. In a band or on a recording you just
could not tell which you were hearing, amp or pedal, 100% guaranteed!!!
the fine print
It took 2 weeks waiting so I can get one from a guy who beats the price fix by giving me free shipping. It works out I save $60. The pedal lives up to the hype. I was able to pull 3 pedals off my board 😊
