BOOSTER- BLACK COUNTRY CUSTOMS Tri-Boost ....Tony Iommi Treble Booster

BLACK COUNTRY CUSTOMS| TRI-BOOST
$200.00 USD
Marshall stacks from the late 60's were all about lower mids. You got one killer fat sound but this was long before the Tube Screamer that is a medium gain OD with a sharp poke at around 1k upper mids. The answer was the Dallas Rangemaster Treble booster that was not about a boost for the highs but to boost the upper mids. It sat on top of the amp as an always on tone control. Toni Iommi had a hot rodded late model silicon transistor model not the early germanium one most players like Page had.
He used his pushed thru a Laney stack. BCC are Laney's pedal branch who recreated and improved on Tri-Boost for what is Tony's Signature pedal.
The layout is simple with volume, gain, treble and bass and a3 way toggle to boost either low, high or flat. Flat cuts the lows and boosts the mids with a fixed voice tuned to Tonys old modded Rangemaster.
CONCLUSION
I love it's right to the point. There are many, many booster that I find all about getting the perfect shade of grey added to your tone. Most fail to do much of anything. When UA were trying to get the perfect Echo-Plex sound for their delay pedal ...the myth of the magic Pre turned out to be nonsense. They got 6 different units all sound the same and none change the sound between on and turned off in any meaningful way. Or to quote the head engineer "it's all bullsh*t." This pedal makes a difference. It adds cut and punch to the whole sound.
