EKO HOT GRILL DISTORTION
|
$40.00 USD |
The EKO guitar brand has been around since 1959.They did well as the quality was good and the prices cheap. But by the mid 60's the Japanese guitars arrived and put budget guitars in the U.S. and Europe out of biz. EKO moved to Czechoslovakia to keep the overhead down but the quality up and to keep the company in Europe. Alas the founder died and in the end the family moved the biz back to Italy but build to China. The price was still very competitive and the quality very good for entry level guitars but sales are down to the mom & Pop European biz where the name still has some cred. Of late they have come up with a few pedals designed by Robert Tittarelli but I expect MIC.The layout is your basic volume, tone and gain. It is a high gain pedal with a good Brit vibe. Notes are articulate even at high gain.
CONCLUSION
The sustain is very good. Even with the tone set for a dark warm sound it is free of mud with excellent note separation. A hell of a lot of $200 pedals are not 'this' good.
The price is very good but it is only online with 'Only Pedals' in Canada. The damn site has endless cool pedals for killer prices. Browse it with caution, LOL.
